Stakeholder Engagement on Second Phase of Gambia National Single Window (Duty Waiver) Organized by Nick TC Scan Gambia in collaboration with Gambia Revenue Authority on the 26th March 2024.
In a collective effort to enhance cooperation and understanding, Nick TC Scan Gambia, in collaboration with the Gambia Revenue Authority, recently hosted a crucial stakeholder engagement at The Gambia National Single Window Office in Serrekunda. The session focused on the second phase of the Gambia National Single Window project, particularly on Duty Waiver processes.
The event featured a comprehensive presentation delivered by Mr. Musa Saidykhan, the Project Manager for the Gambia National Single Window System. Mr. Saidykhan clearly outlined the overarching framework of the Gambia National Single Window System, highlighting its various components, including E-tracking, Non-Intrusive Container Scanning, Cargo Tracking System, and Digital Weighbridge.
During the informative discussion, Mr. Saidykhan emphasized the utmost importance for Government Ministries and other relevant stakeholders to understand the intricacies of the project and its key components. He explained how these components streamline operations and improve efficiency in revenue collection for the Gambia Revenue Authority.
A notable focus of the engagement was the automation of duty waiver application processes, a crucial element for expediting trade facilitation and fostering economic growth.
