Alieu Bittaye
The Director, Enterprise Risk Management, Reforms, Modernization & Information Technology is Mr. Alieu Bittaye. He joined the Gambia Revenue Authority in 2007 as a director.
Prior to his appointment as Director, Enterprise Risk Management, Reforms, Modernization & Information Technology, Mr. Bittaye served in various portfolios within the Authority including Director of Finance & Management Services and Director of Management Services (HR and Information Technology) following the separation of Finance from the Management Services Department.
Mr. Bittaye has also served in various positions in the public sector in the Gambia before joining the GRA. He was once Deputy Project Director for the Capacity Building for Economic Management Project under the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, Assistant Project Officer for the United Nations Volunteer Program and a Research Officer and Program Manager at the National Agricultural Research Institute (NARI).
Mr. Bittaye has over 30 years of experience in the public sectors and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Njala University College, University of Sierra Leone, a Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Development and a Master’s degrees in Agricultural Economics respectively from Wye College, University of London. He is currently pursuing an MBA program in Enterprise Risk Management at the University of Cumbria, UK.
