Dear colleagues, stakeholders and esteemed customers, please allow me to welcome you to the Authority’s website. The Gambia Revenue Authority is a merger of the former Customs & Excise and Domestic Taxes Departments for the purpose of maximising revenue collection and also brings about economic sovereignty and self-reliance as a country. It was established in 2004 by an Act of the National Assembly. During the period the Authority has been performing exceedingly well and as a result, we mobilize about 20% of GDP and 80% of government revenue. As a service provider, the Authority continues to strive in meeting the needs of its esteemed customers without whose support and cooperation, revenue mobilisation will be a difficult task. We therefore continue to sharpen our services and always try to come closer to you wherever you may be in a bid to improve compliance.
